As we all know, a poor diet plays a huge roll in weight gain. Foods like dairy, grains, excessive sugars, and processed foods also contribute to body inflammation, disease, and disorders. Cleaning up your diet can actually improve your overall health and wellbeing.

What you put in your body matters! Maximize your improvement and choose foods that increase your energy and reduce inflammation.

So, how should you eat? Today, we go over why you should eat like a caveman. Eating like a caveman, also called the Paleo diet has grown in popularity and is how most of us at Calispine eat today. Today, we discuss the benefits of eating in this manner.

What Is the Caveman or Paleo Diet?

The Paleo Diet is a way of eating that combines vegetables, fruits, lean meat, fish, eggs, and some nuts and seeds. According to the founders of the Paleo diet, the basic argument for following this way of eating is that, for most of human history, it is how we ate, and it shaped our genetics.

The Paleo Diet avoids or eliminates any processed foods that contain refined sugars, refined grains, refined vegetable oils, trans fatty acids, salt, and/or added chemicals.

What Are the Benefits of the Paleo Diet?

There are many benefits to eating Paleo, including but not limited to the following:

  • Reduces inflammation
  • Lowers your risk of diabetes, heart disease, and neurological disorders
  • Improves the look and quality of your hair, skin, and nails
  • Increases energy levels
  • Reduces brain fog
  • Reduces the risk of autoimmune diseases
